Final diagnosis, Ulsuric Colitis!

November 22nd, 2010 · No Comments

After having serious bleeding and a lot of stomach pain for days I decided that a doctor’s visit was needed. Doctor said, bleeding and pain like that is usually associated with stomach ulcers and a prescription was issued at same time as referral to the hospital for testing. More waiting at the hospital before finally getting the test’s done. Into the stomach for sample of content, nothing wrong there. Next, colonoscopy… wow uncomfortable first time taking this test. Never had this one done before. Anyhow, did this test ever go through the roof? Blood and more blood… The large intestine is where the problem is situated. Open bleeding ulcers through most of the large intestine. Take a biopsy and see what this really is. After a short while, result was Colitis…bad news.
The beginning of it all was a few weeks prior. While at work one day I noticed some blood in my stool. The initial reaction was…Oh, well noting serious I hope. Probably hemorrhoids and nothing that wouldn’t pass soon… The frame of mind didn’t want to accept anything serious at this stage. Just wanted to have it be minor and heal by its ‘self.

Colitis 10 Year Later

November 17th, 2010 · No Comments

It is now 10 years since I got my first diagnosis for Coloitis. It has been a lot of things happening since than but that is for another time. The biggest change for me personally has been the change of menu. The food that I eat is well cooked and I actually think about the menu and the relation to my situation with Colitis. My menu has been greatly reduced in raw vegetables and fried greasy food. I guess it might be more healthy this way.

I asked my wife, Is there a cure for ringing ears

July 16th, 2010 · No Comments

My wife and I were sitting just shooting the breeze the other day when I came to ask her if there is a cure for ringing ears. She asked me if I had ringing ears and I told her that yes it was sometimes quit annoying but it was not at the point that I couldn’t sleep. However the part about the sound in my ears was also happening when I was young but at that time I knew the problem was too much loud music and other noises that my ear got exposed to on a regular basis. Little did I know that this was a very common thing happening to a lot of people. There is a cure for ringing ears but you have to do some work first to determine the cause of your problem. You see, the ringing is just like an alarm bell for the body. It is trying to tell you something is wrong with your system. It is an indication that is telling you to find the cause of the problem.

The cure for ringing ears might be a simple thing but it might also be a very complex problem that will take you long time to get at the bottom and find your solution. There are a few triggers that can help you along the way and we will talk about it a bit later on. For now the subject is simply a cure for ringing ears and I would not have known about this if it weren’t for my wife that knew all about it and had heard about various cures a while ago. The whole subject has intrigued me and I will write some articles about it. Research into this will take some time so be patient.

Some thoughts on improving my health as I see it.

April 4th, 2010 · No Comments

How can I improve my health is the first question that comes to my head. I have been in some real serious trouble with my health but have somehow managed to stay alive. Last thing to really hit me was my bout with UC. That came to an end after my last operation where it was all removed .I ended up with no more left of my large intestine but at least I’m clear of the bed and function well enough to be able to work. I have periods where I feel very weak but they usually don’t last very long. I have a fairly good food intake but I have to be careful with what and how much I eat.
So where do I go from here? I would like to loose weight around my waist but that seem to be hard but I’m working on it though. Going for walks every night does give a bit of workout and have given me enough strength to work and get through my day.

It has never dawned on me before now, there are many people that have UC and don’t know that they have it. They think that it might be loose bowels or another uncomfortable symptom. It can also be people that are shy and don’t want to talk about this kind of stuff with other people..
If you have symptoms from you digestive track, see your doctor. This is nothing to take lightly as your life might depend on it.

Ops.. got a bit off track there..

Cure for Ovarian Cyst

April 3rd, 2010 · No Comments

To find a cure for ovarian cysts we must first understand what they are.  Ovarian cysts are small fluid filled sacs that develop on a woman’s ovaries.  No woman is immune to ovarian cysts, they can happen to any woman of about any age.  The pain of living with ovarian cysts is not only physical, but emotional as well.

There are some different options available for treatment of ovarian cysts.  One of the first options is surgery, there is a procedure known as “ovarian drilling” that requires an abdominal incision and a medical instrument is used to burn holes in the follicles to trigger ovulation.  The problem with surgery is that it will only take care of the cysts currently on the ovaries, surgery is not a long term solution.
